I want to improve my 2007 imac's 2600pro by downloading drivers available to windows users to my computer thru parallels on xp sp3. The problem is that parallels recognizes the graphics card as "parallels video adapter" instead of 2600pro. I tried to download ati catalyst but after it asks me to reboot after the install I can't find it anywhere as if it wasn't downloaded. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Parallels cannot directly use your graphics card... it can only run its emulated graphics card, so you can only use Parallels drivers... no way around this.  They only way to run Windows and let it have direct access to your graphics card is to dual boot and boot directly into Windows.

And what about Wineskin? Will it recognize and use ATI Catalyst drivers installed into the wrapper or it will always manage graphics card through its own drivers?

As of:

http://www.winehq.or...te/docs/wine-fa ... -WITH-WINE

it seems that they will be ignored.

Wine does not run Windows drivers... and its not intended to.  Its only supposed to be running Windows applications.

Are there custom drivers for ATI cards that I can use to improve games on my iMac?
