Awesome indie game I found recently. It's been around a while, but still has a decent playerbase.

Savage 2 is a multiplayer game that blends FPS and third-person fighting on the ground with RTS-style control of the whole battle. I love it, but try it for yourselves and see what you think.
The game is pretty much completely free to play, but you can upgrade your account for $10 (I think it's worth it) for extra features, more accessibility, etc.

Savage 2 is certainly unique game but doesn't come close to its predecessor Savage: The Battle for Newerth. The vast majority of the original Savage community rejected the game and released the community mod Savage XR based on the first title (I'm not sure if it's still beta).

Here's a video of some guy explaining why Savage 2 was rejected: http://portingteam.c...edirect.php?htt ... vZJqZiZ_as
And another video comparing the combat in both games: http://portingteam.c...edirect.php?htt ... 7YdIcXBn4I

Give it a try too :)

Never got much into that game.
"Lol, I see you :D"... "No you don't, you're blind."

I'll give it a try, I messed around a bit with the first Savage demo, which was interesting.  I do like the idea of a strategy FPS mix, though I feel like they didn't exactly nail it.  That free game Tremulous (http://tremulous.net/) has something similar (base building), though it's more slanted towards the FPS side, and still a bit wanting.
