You guys should all get a program called 'clean my mac'. It finds all of the crap you don't need anymore. Like saved files from games and leftover files from downloading etc.
First time I used it it cleared 3GB, and I now use it once a month and it clears bout a GB.

I'm curious how Hans has 100TB considering the biggest currently available hard drive (to the public) is the 2TB produced last year. Do you have 50 2TB HDDs?

Or is there something that holds more space?

Very intrigued!

I think Hans works on a server Farm, a computercluster where Hard drive space and CPU power gets linked together.

LOL, is this with those 3TB Seagates? (good thing they have firewire 800) otherwise you work at a server farm right? (How else do you get 120TB of space)

Taeki probably has a 2TB and a 1.5TB (or a 1TB and a 0.5TB) as for what is on there I have no idea, perhaps RAW images and movies?

I'm in a constant storage struggle on my Macbook -at best I manage to keep around 10GB free.
Just recently I lost all information on my 1TB external hard drive due to a close encounter with the kitchen floor... I'm still contemplating if I should invest in a new WD MyBook Studio or look into something else...

My Mac's HDD is 160GB. 8.78GB left.

500GB USB 2.0 2.5" External = 54GB Left

1TB External RAID = 42MB left

4TB linked Firewire external = 2.9TB left
(built it myself with 2 2TB 2.5" SATAs inked together with a eSATA cable splitter)

1TB USB 2.0 3.5" external: 330GB left.

Im going to upgrade my internal HDD to a 2TB and clearing up the RAID drive, it was used for backups.

The 500GB is only for games found on this site.

The 1TB USB is for College, full of VM's and more games, it crashed. So i lost all college stuff :(

and the 4TB firewire is for backups, raw video and photo (i have a 200GB just on 20 photos wating to be processed, theres 1.5TB of raw video just sitting there, i mgiht do something with it in the next 2 years or so)
If my ports links are dead, Email me.   [ BoomBoxCreations (at) gmail . com ]

UPDATE: 600GB
This is going to sound like an advertisement, but CleanMyMac only really works the first time, when it cleaned out like 40GB. After that, it was only good for cleaning out caches. Now I use Squeeze. It, in the background, when your CPU's not being used for much of anything else, converts all your files to HFS+ compressed files. The files... don't look different at all. However, it only works on Snow Leopard 10.6.4. Oh wel.
