Hello, just wondering which of these 2 games is better? i'm talking about the gameplay rather than the video quality.
I got bad english, yeah I know.. Sorry about that!

i personally think that metro 2033 is better, gameplay is more fun, and fallout 3 is hard to play =\

In my opinion, you can not compare these games. They are too different...

Just because it is not as complex as Fallout it doesn't mean its better...

And thats the reason why you want to compare them?

Your right, Metro and Fallout have some similarities like nuclear apocalypse theme and survival...
But Metro is a shooter with some RPG mechanics whereas Fallout 3 is a RPG with guns!
Metro also offers only a very short gameplay ;)
For me it is a big difference and it wont be fair to compare these games...

Fallout 3 for me -- I felt it had a better story and "feel", although that's fairly subjective.

Fallout 3 is a better choice in terms of longevity, but Metro 2033 is still a great game... but its more worth renting instead of buying considering how short the story is (beat it in 8 hours whereas i've played 40+ hours of Fallout 3)

Fallout 3 is really hard. and at some points in the game, it's quite hard to make some difficult choices.

Fallout 3 is better in my opinion. I just love being able to role-play in an apocalyptic world!

Totally agree. The replay value is all in Fallout. I'm not sure how good the modding community is for Fallout but I'm sure that there probably are at least a handful of GREAT mods out there for the series.

It`s really a matter of your own type. Both are great games and deserve to be played. It just depends on your preferation and wether or not you like linear, open world or other games.

I personally really liked Metro 2033 and Fallout didnt "do" it for me, but everyone`s got an opinion, right? ;)

I'll say Fallout 3, I've heard a little about Metro from a friend. But I'll have to check it out myself soon enough.

Metro 2033 is better.  Better gameplay, cooler story and environment.

I would have to say Fallout 3, Metro is a very good game be it rather short depending on game style. Fallout well.. I've clocked over 60hours+ and thats not going into the DLC which in most places is packed in as a game of the year edition (Steam for instance). If i remember right it includes, The Pitt, Mothership Zeta, Operation Anchorage, Broken Steel and Point Lookout.  And Fallout has a rather large mod base, including player, building, extension of maps, and the GECK (later found in the game on what G.E.C.K stands for) but it lets you use modding tools to build your own quests, buildings etc..    Really its completely up to you, the style and fast pace  of Metro is great but if you want to buy something and know your not going to be looking for another game in a week go for Fallout 3.

I feel they are two differnt styles of games and if you want the "real metroid" then you have to go back to the sidescrollers just my thoughts
