Definatly, to think that in a universe thats infinite in size, that we are the only ones here, is a typically self centered thought from humanity

Right. The whole universe is nothing more for us? I do not think so.

There's definitely life out there, don't know about intelligent life though.

I agree. We keep discovering other solar systems as our telescopes and planet-detecting techniques improve and as we do, more and more seem to be in the "goldilocks" zone, meaning there is a strong possibility of liquid water. Stretch those odds across the trillions of stars in our universe and alien life most definitely exists elsewhere. However, they are probably so far away that contact might be logistically impossible.

I'm sure there's intelligent life out there.  I just don't think we'll make contact with them in my lifetime, sadly.  I'd dearly love to see that.

If you consider probabiities, you can easily hide your arrogance behind the so weaaak chance to encounter other form of life in yours. So you can pretend to be alone.
Or you can pretend other form of "different life" exist, as bacteries. That could be smart.

100% sure it exists. But wouldn't be sure if they are as smart as us or watever... but looking at the size of the universe its believeable that ther is life outside earth!

It seems statistically unlikely that humans are the only form of life in the galaxy. too bad we are probably so incomprehensibly distant from any other life that contact nearly impossible

If our sun was the size of the dot of a letter i, the milky way alone would be the size of the united states, therefore there is alien life, many forms of it, across the universe. What we don't know, is if the laws of the universe allow space travel.

I think the general consensus here is that they do on the precursor that the universe is a HUUUUGE place. And I believe they're right, Alien life is very probable. There are many planets in our near vicinity that are capable of sustaining life, they're just not in this solar system. We have found them via telescope. If you want some worthwhile information on the topic, I strongly suggest the tutelage of Dr. Michio Kaku. In b4 crackpot theoretical physicist. Some of you may not agree with all of what he says or think he's "too out there" but the guy built an atom smasher in his garage when he was in high school. I'd say he's a pretty safe guy to trust, especially given his connections.

There is definetley bacteria which is a single celled organism and very much a form of life. There is much proof of this. But individuals as advanced as we, probably not. In my mind, just my opinion don't flame...

Aliens? No. UFOs? Yes, but humans are building them.

I would think so, but chances are if there is some way to find out about them, including some possible afterlife, chances are anyone would be shocked at how they are or were.

Not only is the universe so infinitely vast as to make aliens a statistical probability, it's also probable that somewhere billions of light years farther than we will ever observe there is a planet identical to earth on which lifeforms identical to humans have evolved and are now having this exact same discussion on an internet message board.  Parallel worlds are real, people, look it up!!

If extraterrestrial biological life doesnt exist, aliens still exist in the form of extreme conditions of the human mind.

I believe they exist, and that it is very likely that we will meet them sometime in the future, either soon or later. I was surfing through channels on my TV, and I watched a bit of a show called Ancient Aliens which examined times in history where historians thought aliens might have visited the Earth. I recommend that show to anyone, if you believe in aliens, or not. It brings up a lot of interesting things to think about.

I think they do exist. The universe is too big to only have us living things on Earth.

Statistically speaking it would be an almost certainty. However, I don't believe in the alien abductions that people often speak about nor do I believe that intelligent aliens visit our planet frequently.
