You could try, but I'd suggest that you shouldn't waste time on this one. It's unportable. Makes use of wbemproxy_connectserver which is unimplemented in wine, and overriding it with a windows version of the dll doesn't work either. A bug is posted in wine's bugzilla, and we're all waiting...

Someone should ask doh123, who's a member here.  Doh123 made wine and would probably know how to fix this.

Or maybe even CXZ?  Has anyone tried with anything other than Wineskin?

I don't think it'll work with CXZ, seeing as that runs from crossover, which is essentially just a modified version of Wine. I did, however take a quick stab at porting it with Cider 4861 (Free Realms). So far, all I get is an "Exception Raised" error:
Spoiler
And a rather messy log:
Spoiler
Any suggestions?

You have to install vcrun2008 from the disk, or from XTricks.
You probably wont get much further though. I've already tried CiderX. I think its debug logs are different to Wine's so it wont give the the same logs as Wineskin does, but the problem would be the same.

I tried to bring this game with cider 4473 but with the crack that I found here I get this error: Exception in module EEncodingError Activation.exe at 0001FC77.
Invalid code page.
I found a crack on a torrent instead I get this: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x00000000 at address 0x01df501f.
Do you wish to debug it?
but no errors on the terminal.

I've tried so many versions of nfs hot pursuit. Downloading from many sources. Trying multiple cracks. No luck. I recently tried running it on a virtual machine through vmware fusion. It gets an error. (send or don't send type). Tried multiple versions and upping the system specs on the virtual machine. I used windows xp, 2 GB ram, 2 cores, and no luck. Any ideas?

windows 7 ultimate 64bit, 2GB memory, and 2 cores but of course you have the mac os and the windows virtual machine running at the same time so its not the full 2 cores giving it all

The cracks work (except the Keygen Activator) but the game still makes a check to the servers for some reason. This check is whats preventing the game from working because its causing a crash since the method the check uses is not implemented into Wine.
This is also the reason that the Keygen Activator doesn't work. Because it has to use the same check method as NFS:HS.
