Dear Loco,

first of all, thank you very much, I'm glad you like it, I'm blushing like a 12-year-old boy at his surprise birthday party    :D . Well let's say, years of practice and it's my job, I'm a digital designer lol.

I uploaded some wallies from the same image in the Just Talk section, enjoy!

Hello everyone
I was wondering what all the 'intel cider' torrents were on demonoid / piratebay and found this site.

I want to start trying to do some ports of my own, I've spent a few nights reading up on it and I think i might manage to fluke out some success.
Should I manage to do some, please be assured I will not only share the wrappers, I'll port as many more as I can.

Lastly, this is a fantastic development for mac users.  I've used macs since the early 80s and only stopped using them in the last 5 years to focus more on games not available on osx.  Last month I bought a new unibody macbook pro, so I am over the moon at discovering this community.  I have quite a few windows games I'm thinking of porting, if I fail then I'll add them to the requests thread.

Thank you sincerely for all of you who have already given your time and effort to this project.  The tutorials especially are a true gift for all new members.
cheers

Ryall

Hi Ryall, Welcome to the GPT
You can check out if some of your games are portable from here (CrossOver):
http://appdb.winehq.org/
Sometimes a game isn't listed there or listed as not running, but is working good with Cider.
Have fun trying it out.
And we're looking forward to your Ports :D

I'm on a couple of private trackers and forums, I recongise a few on here already!!

I'm a novice at coding and trying to port games, but with a bit of patience and a lot of time, and of course some help from you friendly folk hopefully I can get a grip of the porting thing and post a couple of games!!

Thank you!!

Hey, let me preface this by saying, I have had no experience porting games whatsoever. I think it's quite extraordinary the things you guys do! I'd really like to get into porting myself, as I'm on summer break from college and have excessive amounts of time to burn. I've currently tried to port only demo's but I seem to run into the same problem, all the things I try to port, whether CX wrapper or Cider port bounce once on the dock then quit. If I could just get past this, then perhaps I could help out.. I know I probably can't do much NOW, but i'd like to learn and eventually TRY to make progress!

I'm on a few private trackers, and have definitely played some of your great ports! Keep it up guys!

Hi and welcome to the GPT.

You can check out if some games are compatible here:
http://appdb.winehq.org/

Start with something simple, if you have some success, try some newer games.

This is the CodinGuru as I like to call myself. I was a hacker in the days that I used Windows and I am a hacker now that I use Mac OS X. Still a student so I haven't made up my mind whether to work for Google or Apple. I can program   fluently in Python. I can edit or mess with PHP pages. I learned HTML back while I was 12. Objective-C is right now a pain for me so I can't say whether I will be programming for Mac OS X or iPhone yet. I can understand all the technical jargon.

Oh and I have lots of ideas.

Currently we have only Korich who can program, it's nice to see we have another programmer on the team.

We're looking forward to your ideas as well.

Hello everyone,

I am from San Diego, California, and I play the viola (as seen in my avatar :D)
I am fairly new to the world of Cider and CrossOver, and I am still learning lots about the programs every day. My first ports were Resident evil 4 Cider and The Punisher, so because of how horrible those ports were, it was evident I had no idea what I was doing xD

I started porting games because I think that every game that is ported for mac brings us closer to being able to combat the argument that "PCs are better for gaming"

I would like to thank the team for helping me get closer to knowing what I'm doing every time I try to create a wrapper.

Too right!   To a better future - where people get even more cheezed off with vista, 7 and 8!  (lets hope the developers realize too...)

My presentation in little words :
i'm french, i live in the european capital (Strasbourg), and i'm playing on a mac since… 1986 or so. Yes, i'm almost 40 and my work mates call me "the false young" (or is it "the false old" ?)…

I started on a Apple //c because of Wizardry, the first computer rpg ever. After 6-7 machines, i now own a Mac Pro 2 x 2,66ghz.

The reason i dig into this forum is because i love games, and because ciderising seems the only way to get the ones i really miss. Like Test Drive Unlimited for example… Technically i'm very bad, i tried and succeeded only one time : with the port of Silent Hunter 3. But i keep trying some things and others…

So. Like i said, it's nice to so so much people involved of porting all kind of PC games !  :D

Hello my name is Evan but you can refer to me however you wish. Cider wrappers and Crossover Wrappers are a good thing. I'm really glad to be a part of this forum. I'm not a complete moron about this stuff; but still I'm a little edgy. I'm taking an online course over at ACM (http://ibrain.com.ua.../www.myacm.org/) via Element K for C/Ob C/C++. I just wanted to say hi and that if you need any deving i'll attempt to help.

Hey I'm Ryoon.
Im new. I like games but on my mac I mainly look for smaller, simpler games to play as I do most of my gaming on consoles.
So, using these port thingos is it possible to play MMOs? Like Im thinking more in the line of free MMORPGs. Since they update regularly I suppose it wouldn't be very easy but has anyone done it?

Thanks, I apologize in advance for my noobyness, Im not much a computer wiz.
