I have an account and was wondering if there was a way to port this game. Its launched via I.E and Firefox but only for PC :/ Anybody willing to give it a shot?

Game Description:
Battlefield Play4Free is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by EA and Easy Studios. Based on the Battlefield series, the game will be set in the modern theatre of war. Play4Free is built on a modified version of Battlefield 2's engine,[1] with improvements such as high resolution artwork and post-processing effects. The game was also announced to be less demanding on computer specifications.[2]

As the game’s title suggests, the game would be available to players for free online, under Electronic Arts' "Play 4 Free" model. Play4Free uses a similar micro-payments store system as Heroes. It was announced on November 5, 2010. The game is currently in closed beta testing phase, which began on November 30, 2010[3], with the full release slated for early 2011

I downloaded the Battlefield Heroes wrapper by paulthetall, here on the site and it works perfect until you actually try to play the game.

Half the screen is black, the other is white.

Any ideas? How to fix the black and white screen?

For me, It says that the EXE has an error and needs to close in crossover games, but I hear sound effects and gunshots in the background.

fixme:d3d_shader:vertexshader_init Which this OpenGL implementation does not support. Try using GLSL.

play around with glsl registry key.

Sorry, but how do I do that? I found this "UseGLSL" thing in the registry and enabled it, but still, black and white screen.

It looks like this: http://upload.wikime...k_White.svg.png

Why doesn't somebody try CXEx porting it, or cider?

Cider does not work, because it requires Firefox/IE and Cider is not capable of running it.

CXEx could be possible, but as Play4Free is quite similiar to Heroes, i used paulthehall's wrapper.

I'll try CXEx.

Alright, but couldn't it just be an error with the beta itself?

Nah, I don't think so. I saw two-three guys with the same problem, none of them had a solution and one of them were from the portingteam.com. (Hehe) I'm not sure if they were also using Wine.

So. Not so good.

However, running the wrapper in windowed mode gives you just a black screen. No white flashes. I will investigate that.

The .exe also encounters an error.
