We kinda hit a standstill in translation because of a small little disaster.
I just asked myself: "Well, what now?"
Simple. I myself cannot "do" anything. My PC has no graphics card, and my MacBook is too crammed to Boot Camp. Waves is also on temporary leave and heavenshallburn22 (I think I got that number right :p ) isn't online very often. One big happy family of workers...
NOT. Obviously, we need a little bit of help. Waves and heavenshallburn22 both have the YS Origins mod installed that allows them to modify the script on their PC. I am in a position to translate Japanese. This is where you come in.
It takes significantly more time to translate something than put the text in. I figure if I translate all the text (which I cannot access) they will put it in. This is where you come in.
The port has already been uploaded, but, again, I am low on space. If anyone is able to give me even a partial japanese script (you will have to tell me which character you chose and it must be from the beginning, and mark which part of the text are signs) I will be able to forward the English stuff to waves etc.
Thanks again

It may be a good idea to get help from the original Ys Origin Translation Project.
Since you're modifying the PC version, this helps both original PC users and Wine users alike, no?

Hello. Sadly, I am not active here on the Porting Team anymore, and therefore I cannot give support or answer questions to any of my posted Ports or posted topics.

Yes, but that's not a "project-project."
I've already seen that. That thread is just goading on the team that's "officially" doing the project. This project is an emergency project because we have no idea where the team went. It seems like they've been on vacation for an extended period of time. The text has supposedly been done, but they are not releasing it until the pictures are done. Waves and I have been itching something awful to play this game, so here we are.

I'm getting a new MacBook in about a month or so, most likely within the next week. I'll let you know what happens.

What kind of professional service are you talking about?
I mean a service that professionally deals with translations. Not automatic translation as Google does, but real people who adjust the translation to the general meaning of the text. There are several such services. I use https://thewordpoint...es/proofreading they are some of the best in their field.
