NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 512MB. Is it good for MacBook Pro? I thought I heard people have problems. I will not buy it. :%)

whoa, long bump :D

Well, the 330M is a previous-gen midrange card. Good for medium stuff and even some good games like Crysis in Bootcamp, although Apple's drivers are lacking in the nVidia apartment currently. (they've switched away to AMD now in everything, and those AMDs pack quite a punch) (only the early 8 and 9 nvidia had some problems)

But it's a good step up from the previous 9xxx series, see here

Hello. Sadly, I am not active here on the Porting Team anymore, and therefore I cannot give support or answer questions to any of my posted Ports or posted topics.

theres no known issues with the 330m... its just fine.  The only Macbook Pros that has GPUs dying left and right were a few versions ago when they had the 8600GTs... but those were faulty and failing in every brand of machine, not just Apple.

Oh, Bootcamp... Windows really like Nvidia, right? Now, Mac OS X like ATI! I heard Intel really sued Nvidia for MacBook Pro leaked?

ATI Mobility Radeon X1600...
Nvidia GeForce 9400M...
Nvidia GeForce GT 330M...
ATI Radeon HD 6750M...

Apple switched to ATI from Nvidia now... I noticed last letter "M". What's it for?

Isn't the M is for "mobile"? because as far as i know, GPUs on the laptop is a downclocked version from the without "M"

Oh... I have ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 256MB DDR2 on my Gateway.

GPU Mobile is full upclocked on any laptop, right? I see... Nvm, I understand!

Er. I don't like "GT330M" because it has more problems than ATI... but I like Nvidia... We heard Apple replaced to AMD from Nvidia... I want to latest nvidia card for my own hackintosh better but I don't have it now... I want to build it for my birthday...
