Xcode 4 available on the Mac App Store! It's for $4.99. I just purchased it using iTunes Gift card. I think I want to create application utility and productivity. ^_^

Yeah, That Lion DVD has Xcode 4. Why don't you buy some apps using iTunes Gift card?

I'll stick with 3... I know how to use it good, and it works fine for 10.5 and 10.6.

I'm just disappointed by all the crashing :/ It hasn't made me lose any of my coding yet but I would hate it if one day it does.
At least it doesn't crash nearly as much as it did with some of the DP releases.

Other then that, I really like Xcode 4. I'm keeping Xcode 3 simply so I can build for 10.5 though, but I do all my programming on 4.

I thought about just waiting for Lion, but then I realized that you'd probably have to pay the 5 dollars anyway if you want to download the minor updates, which I no doubt do.

I haven't bought xcode 4 yet though. I probably will soon. I'm going to miss interface builder..

Is this only for Lion or does it also work on Snow Leopard?

Interface Builder is exactly the same. Some other parts have been simplified too, like sending applications for review to the App Store. It was weird when I switched, but I'm to use it now. It also has better LLVM/Clang support. It keeps getting better.

Xcode 4 is wonderful.

But im keeping 3&4 side-by-side, a few small things (like editing a plist) does not require to load a whole app like Xcode 4 just to edit it (they should have thought it a bit differently, still keeping an all-in-one interface but be able to do minor things separately)

Also, I've noticed in Xcode 4 that you cant make a single file without making a full project...

Correct... but no longer supports Snow Leopard... that's why I can't update and redownload it for Snow Leopard.

If you go through the purchased menu you should be able to redownload 4.0, 4.1 is Lion only though.

Can some one tell me how does the payment method works when you publish more than one app to the app store, like if a friend asks me to put on app in there, do i know how much of a revenue i get from each app, or does it come all together?

All together but you get a split sales record. He should just fork over the $99 himself though. This kind of sharing stuff is always a mess.

Yep, im kinda resilient about that, but its to help him out, he just wants to make some bucks before get his own, cause his parents won't buy him one...
Well will see, but if i get the split sales record that should work fine....

This.
Just remember if his app gets poor reviews or his support isn't good, it can and will reflect on your account and COULD affect your other apps.

Yep, you can also download it from the dev center if you don't have lion, I think.
