Note: These are alpha builds. Tests builds, essentially. These are not stable releases. The latest stable release is 1.2.

Second alpha build.

I implemented an 'options' UI thing that expands with well, options.

I added an option to also search for read-only values.

I added an option to specify a beginning and ending address to search for (either or both can be omitted).

Changed file permission of documents after saving them, so you don't need to be root to re-save them or such.

Optimized searching for doubles and 64-bit integers when searching in 64-bit processes.

Added Pointer data type.

If you test, feedback is welcome.

[edit]: Just realized I don't think the address range feature works when comparing stored values, so consider that a bug for now, and something I'll implement later.

This was a lie. It was implemented even in the last build. I was just tired at the time and didn't think clearly about it.

In the new alpha:

*Fixed saving that I broke from previous alpha build.
*The beginning/ending text fields and labels are now disabled when a search is under way.
*Improved reliability a little bit for the progress in the progress bar.
*Fixed a bug in some cases where a variable's data may not update if it has been changed within the program (sort-of rare cases).

Bit Slicer 1.3 Alpha 4

Changes:

*Added option to ignore data alignment. For now, by default, it's off. Applicable to all data types except for UTF-8 strings and Int-8 datatypes.
*Fixed a bug where changing an address of a UTF-8 String to point to an empty string may not immediatley update the value in the table.
*UI clarity, added verification for checking beginning and ending addresses so that they are valid.
*Help menu redirects to the FAQ in this forum.

Bit Slicer 1.3 Alpha 5

Changes:
*Reduced application size in half by removing calculator dependency, instead now using Ruby.

Pretty much. I may just release new stable version soon.
