Get this Update via the Version Check & Automatic Update button.
What's new:
+ CXEx Central (2.2.5)
feature: 'Did you know' Tips feature
change: CXx Upgrade also upgrades CXEx v6.x Wrappers
change: Grim Reaper now native with Quotes
bugfix: changed some message dialogues
+ CXEx Wrapper(6.2)
feature: Wrapper Checklist
feature: Startup Tools (eConsole and Explorer)
feature: Startup Screen Settings now has Icon preview
feature: Startup Screen Settings can now be refreshed
Note:
The Wrapper checklist feature is just a little reminder gimmick, but since it's frontmost on the settingsapp, it should be very helpful to people.
Also click the 'Did you know...' Idea Blub in Central to get some tips. Click for random notes. May not be obvious to click it now, but i'll get that more obvious-er somehow.
Grim Reaper also has a nice Window with some nice quotes about him ^_^

just checked, eConsole still has it's annoying transparency set to 50%. Thought i'd changed that.
Oh well, very small annoyance, will change the entry for the transparency in the next update...
(weirdly i can't start up eConsole while the Wrapper is in my Project folder, i think it's because i symlinked some parts in my project folder. In a normal Wrapper, it works fine.)

If i go to CXExSettings and click eConsole in Startup Tools just the splash screen appears. Also, do upper case letters work now in eConsole?

I like the tool a lot since for me it has been the best way to port smaller applications I need.
Glad to see this updates!

What's the problem exactly?
A small grey window should appear, with c:/windows/eConsole in it.
If you right click this window, you can select 'console', where big letters and everything else works.
The first window in console seems more like a log window than a true terminal.

Whoops! The wrapper cannot start. Please check if the path to the Windows executable is correct.
But if I make a new wrapper from scratch, then eConsole works. It's not that big of a deal, I can simply port Icewind Dale again.

If the custom launcher is enabled, console doesn't start.
If launcher is off, console starts again
I'll look into it when I get back to my mac.

If I create a new wrapper from scratch eConsole starts the regular way if the custom launcher is disabled. However, if the custom launcher is enabled, then the custom launcher appears (same as the updated wrapper)

Since i implemented this quickly, I see i have to do some workarounds to launch this without a flaw.

Does this mean that updates to Crossover (like crossover 11 when it comes out) will be added to the wrappers section on it as they are released too? :)
And I assume dx 10 is still out of the qutestion at this point in time? (as its more to do with the engines... right?)

If the new CXwine versions from CX11 onwards still work with CXEx, then new engines can be done, however since nobody improves the source CXEx start code (formerly CxSkin) that launches the crossover executable, I suppose this won't last forever.
The new CX executables from CX9 and 10 work to a degree, but they throw too many error messages, that's why CXEx is still using the CX8 executable.
CXEx Central was more a proof of concept idea, and to ease the transition into Lion, because everything CX before central doesn't work in lion, including all CX wrappers.
I'll continue to improve CX when ideas shoot into my head, though, so I think CXEx will work out for some time.
That and I've wanted to implement a basic 'Credits' info into it, so that the usual suspects don't do some weird stuff with it.
