Well, you can do a video tutorial if you'd like, thanks, but was planning on changing it around some for a new version... just took a break while I've been making a Wine wrapper.  Want to make this one more like my Wine wrapper, with options for launch menus and things instead of directly into the game... and find a way to make it easier to edit the autoexec, probably from the launch menu.

It might be awhile before I get to that though, I want to finalize some mroe stuff on my Wine wrapper, and figure out how to do a couple of things that I want to add to the Dosbox wrapper too... just making it all up as I go along and learning how to do stuff from the all mighty google.

yeah ignore it that wrapper sucks... I made a better wrapper I've labeled OSXDosboxWrapper... try it instead..

I'm updating the first post now with information on my newer wrapper, that old one was just a quick thorw together junk...   OSXDosboxWrapper is much better...

I like doing my configuration completely manually. I will continue to use the old wrappers. They work fine.

just takes some work out for you.. its not totally automated... editing the dosbox.conf settings etc, still just editing the txt file, the menu just opens it for you... the autoexec calls another file... so the menu can open it up separate, so by default people can change the commands to run the game without seeing the entire dosbox.conf if they dont want to...  its not a dummys guide to making ports, just a took to make it a bit easier.

basically you can hit a button, drop in your game, hit a button and change the launch commands, then hit a button to launch the game... hit a button, edit the dosbox.conf (if needed).. when all done, hit a button to disable the first pop up window... nothing complicated.

Its not a platform for launching a bunch of dosbox games, just dosbox in a .app made a bit easier to turn into a wrapper for a game.

for hacking, you can replace the MainMenu with one of your own, with your own compiled scripts to make your own launch menus if the game would be better with one.... would be a lot of work though for someone to figure out unless i documented a few things.... but i doubt anyone cares so not really worrying about it.  Might just take all the source code and put it up.

I just like making my own tools. At the time I started wanting to make dos ports, I couldn't find any info on any easy way, and no one seemed to want to share about any tools, so I thought it would be fun to throw something together I could use to make the ports I wanted. No idea what's different with Boxer, since I've never used or heard of it before

Boxer is freeware... its useful to wrap just about any DOS game so it can be launched by the Finder as though it was a .app.  Has some nice features
