I've seen from countless other forums threads about how different peoples setups looks like.
So why not have one here too!

Please use "Thumbnail" tags or "spoiler" tags around the picture to not make this thread takes ages to load.
And please don't quote whole posts with pictures, unless needed!

Here's mine:
Image
You can click thumbnail or "show" to see full picture (added both just so ppl can see)
Spoiler

You can't see my hack, its under the desk. MBA on the right
The screens are a VIewSonic 171s and Eizo S2231, the things under the screen is two audio interfaces, a Native Instruments Audio Kontrol1 and m-audio410.

So this is where i port my games :D

Interesting, nice workspace...I have a couple of guitars too but mine are hanging in my living room. I don't actually have a workspace per say.... I really should though...especially with studies becoming so intense....I normally port my software in my living room even though I have big desk and executive style leather swivel chair in my bedroom...hahaha it's pretty comfy, not as comfy as my recliner though...that's where my ass usually is while porting.

I don't have a pic but I have a 5'x3' old government desk with my 4 externals, my 23" 1080p monitor, a ps3 and a 360 (plus the controllers for both systems),random stack of 72 game cases, some drawing tools, my gaming rig, my mac, a basket of useless and unknown items, my windows 95 era speakers, and my skull candy headphones which I have to hang on my monitor because there is no room. So over all its full desk and not always fun to sit at when you want lots of room. But not as crowded as your desk cluthz...I wish I had room for 2 monitors.

It didn't take off really, this thread.

Anyways, here is my server:

Image

It's just a lowly Dell Optiplex SX280, 2.8GHz with 1280MB RAM.
Got an internal 1500GB Samsung F4 HD and an external USB2 LaCie HD "duct-taped like a pro" on it's side for more storage. Underneath there's a Optiplex SX260, which I currently doesn't use, but I use sometimes for testing and experiments. The bad thing with the sx280 is that it is no way to add two drives in it, but on the other hand it's really power efficient. I might get a server where I can put in more drives, but it will cost money and use more power.
I did get it for free a few years ago from my employer when they changed out machines.

And a d-link gigabit switch.

And yes it's inside a closet!

If duct tape can't fix it, then it can't be fixed!

Hmm, I have a thesaurus, a glass of water (because I'm thirsty all the time in ten years I estimate of using computer, I've never damaged one from a water accident, so it's all well and good), and my pet bunny who has thrown off all the papers and junk that is usually on my desk because it got in her way- so pleasant!

I don't really have a workspace, I just put my MBP where I want to work :P  Wether that's the living room, my bedroom or next to my Windows desktop computer.

The image is in a gif file because i had to somehow compress a 15mb image into less 4mb and what easier way to do that then put in a gif file :D

The server does the job of a home server just fine , but i would't call it nice .
-The firewire ports don't work anymore , so i have to use the slow usb ports for external storage ( which is key on a computer that only has a 100gb hard drive)
-The Ethernet ports don't work anymore , so i have to use a external wifi adapter
In fact the only nice part of the computer is that its a pentium 4 computer with 512mb of ram and it runs windows 7 ultimate .

P.S. My old bro really love old server and 90s computer stuffs. Recently, he got Windows 95 laptop from UT for free. http://cl.ly/P45o http://cl.ly/P3hg

Firewire ports don't works? What OS you uses? Nvm, you are using Windows 7 Ultimate Edition.

I have very old firewire PCI card. I'm using Windows 7 Professional and OSX 10.8.3. They have pre-installed native firewire driver (64-bit) for on-board and PCI card. It is works perfect for me.

Ethernet port don't works again? lol. Is it broken?

It's quite a distance from North Carolina to Greenland and Denmark.
So you live in North Carolina now, and then work on Greenland and lived in Denmark a month ago?

Got updates :)

Seems I've stuck a bit in windows for certain games as I haven't found a good solution for 3 screen gaming in OSX yet.

I think my desk need a coat of paint too, it's actually clean, the paint is just worn :P
I got it for free a few years ago, it's actually soon 70 years old :)
