I've got Steam installed in a Wineskin wrapper and I'm wondering, although the main executable used to launch the program is Steam.exe is there anyway to create a custom command to affect an executable that steam launches. Basically I want to apply the -nodistort command necessary to have color render correctly for Shadow of Chernobyl. It's executable is xrEngine.exe...does anyone have any input on any of this?

Are you launching the game directly through Steam? If so, secondary click the game in the list and go to properties (or something similar to that) and you should be able to add launch commands there.

If there is a way to launch a program directly from steam command line in Windows.. then WIneskin should be the same.  it would be running Steam in the EXE field, and whatever normal command line options in the Flags field.... you wouldn't be using Custom Commands field, thats for OSX stuff not Wine stuff.

Just adding it to the executable flags section doesn't do much for me..or anything at all I should say and I am launching Seam and then launching the game from Steam's interface . The game remains black and white. It seems that I've also broken the game in steam so I'll delete local content and re-install...hopefully adding the launch command via steam didn't screw it up. Thanks for the responses.

they are things you'd want to enter in the command line before running Wine... like if you were doing the whole thing command line... if you need to set extra variables or whatever.
