Well cider X 2.0 is going to be a hard one.

Anyway ciderX 2.0 will introduce a new webpage in the home tab. This mini browser will allow user to download new wrappers , Custom prebuilt engines and dlls that will enhance the wrapper capability. It will also include a search form , specialized ciderX community for more detailed help.

This web design aspect is tricky and i may need some help reply below if you are interested .

Also some suggestions would be helpful . For the community what forum software should i  implement (mybb ,phpbb, or any other open source free software)

Dude, I have already set up a little page for that on my mac. It looks like this:


A full featured wordpress blog. I know it is German right now, but that is easy to change.
So you see, you should talk to me first, before creating a topic like this. ^^

I saw that already . But it's just a psd file right now. We need a actual site that is custom.

Is it necessary that this get's its own forum or something on that level?
I mean it's your thing and you can do what you want, but we can do whatever you'd need here and actually have a active community going.
Also we got bandwidth to burn and some space for files.
Regarding a blog like Drakulix has implemented there, i'd actually recommend putting the CiderX Blog on a seperate server; since Wordpress is a CPU/SQL hog and one rogue plugin can take down the server, also automatic updates on Wordpress are a pita (we've got that multiple times in the past with our old Blog)

While it seems Drak has already made a webpage, RapidWeaver is the easiest and best. I use it for templates and then inject my own code (which isn't necessary, you can just use the template as is.)

You are right Dev, and I have never planned to do more than just a simple development blog.
Is some kinda blog possible with our IBP Board here? Then I would just like to use that.
(That does not mean I would use it imminently, there is still a lot to do for CiderX 2.0)

Yes, IPB is normally set up to give everyone a Blog here.
I have disabled this because not many people use it regularly, and we already have enough separate things to comment on here (forum, database, front page, tutorials)
I can look into the blog module for this, perhaps there is a way to allow specific blogs at the moment.
