What is long?
On an old c2d, you should look at something like 20-25 mins, maybe more

[HackPro i7-4790K, 3x SSD + 5TB HDD • 16GB RAM • NVidia GTX 780 GHz Edition • OSX 10.10] . [MacBookAir 13 1.7GHz • Intel HD 3000 • OSX 10.9.5]

if you want to speed build times, edit wineskinenginebuild script somewhere in ~/Library/Application Helper/Wineskin/something/W2.5something
search for make and insert -jX after the make command. X is number of jobs that should be number of cpu cores +1  (for ex. make -j5)

that would work... if i wasn't using virtual box for my wineskin engine builds ... Since Xcode 4.3 won't allow me to run wineskin and Xcode 3.2 doesn't work on 10.7 . I installed 10.6 in virtual box.

Working wine can be compiled with xcode 4.3, even without using the gcc-4.2 look at this thread for instructions.
