Although the game is scheduled on May 29th on pc, I think it's a good idea to already start a topic to know who's willing to work on it.

Game Description:
Max Payne 3 is an upcoming video game and the third title in the Max Payne franchise set to be published by Rockstar Games for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Development is led by Rockstar Vancouver in collaboration with the New England, London and Toronto studios.[5][6] This is the first game in the series not to be developed by Finnish game developer Remedy Entertainment and not being written by series creator Sam Lake.[7] The lead writer of Max Payne 3 is Dan Houser, who was also the writer of most games in the Grand Theft Auto series, and of Red Dead Redemption.[8] (wiki)

here the requirements or recommendation/mimium requirements of the game
Spoiler

skidrow would most likely get the game early and make it public
because published by rockstar and there very secure with the games they make it has to have DMR or Secure ROM that docent work in wine.

when the game comes out i going to port it right away :) well try to the disk space is pretty huge going to be huge disappointment if it not portable to mac.. and for people with slow internet would take a 5 or 4 days to download i have fast internet :)

Official PC system specs updated and commented by game designer:

Lowest Tested Specs:

Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Intel Dual Core 2.4 GHZ or AMD Dual Core 2.6 GHZ, or better
2GB System RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512MB RAM
or AMD Radeon HD 3400 512MB RAM

Low Recommended Specs:

Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Intel Dual Core 3GHz or AMD equivalent
3GB System RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 450 512MB RAM
or AMD Radeon HD 4870 512MB RAM

Hoare: "At this level, you will be able to comfortably run the game at 30 frames per second with a 1920 by 1080 screen resolution."

High Recommended Specs:

Windows 7/Vista (32 or 64 bit)
Intel i7 Quad Core 2.8Ghz or AMD equivalent
3GB System RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 480 1GB RAM
or AMD Radeon HD 5870 1GB RAM

Hoare: "At this level, you will be able to comfortably run the game at 60 fps at 1920 by 1080."

Highest Tested Specs:

Windows 7/Vista (64 bit)
Intel i7 3930K 6 Core x 3.06 GHZ
or AMD FX8150 8 Core x 3.6 GHZ
16GB System RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB RAM
or AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB RAM

About the extra large size (35GB) of the game:
"A good portion of the extra space requirements on PC can be attributed to the increased size of the textures, which are four times the size of those on consoles. (...) In addition, the audio quality is significantly higher than the consoles due to lower compression rates, which improves audio fidelity. Again, this comes back to the range of possibilities that the PC platform opens up for us. That, combined with higher video settings when running the game, results in substantially better visual quality." (Lead PC Designer, Kevin Hoare)

Hemm, I've got all the minimum low requirements up till the cores and the graphics cards....
I hope there's a texture downsizer and stuff that'll improve performance :P

320M is actually a quite bit slower than a desktop 8600GT :(

I'm falling between low and high req specs.
(4Ghz Dual Core and GTX285 which is faster than 450/4870 and slower than 480/5870)
I hope that should put myself comfortable around 50-60 fps on 1680x1050.

But if i know Rockstar right everyone is getting same nicety performance on all specs :P (GTA4 anyone..)

he never claimed it was the original discs, could be pirated?
Anyways he doesn't need to prove he actually have the disks, it could also be pre release discs that he have to unlock online the day it's released?

Or he could get a beta disc? I actually have a beta Starship Titanic for mac signed by Douglas Adams himself!
(Which has a horrible memory leak that makes it crash after 20 mins of playing :P)

Oh, Steam. Pre-release discs...? I never heard there are pre-release discs. Not like MW3.

I think this game disc uses Social Club DRM. That game disc does not support steam because Steam Support said it's not on list.

Off-topic: Please STOP write word "DMR" because it's incorrect word... Just write correct word "DRM" next time.
