Porting Request:
The game has not been released yet, but I am fairly sure the game is only being released on consoles and PC

Game Description:
Dishonored is a game developed by the makers of Skyrim, so you are pretty sure it will be decent. The game is sort of like Deus Ex Human Revolution, where you can play the game stealthily or violent, causing a different ending to the game. The game is released 9th October in USA/North America.

Actually the required ram is 4gb not 3 ,nor 2 .
you could play the game with 2- 3 gb ram . But it wont run well .

You forgot that you will probably have to run the game at 800x600 too :P

Remember, you have 256MB VRAM on crappy Nvidia video card, Blinx? That game requires 512MB VRAM BUT yeah, hmtinc is right. you need set 800x600 res on game.

Do you like lag? I guess you love lag because you uploaded lot of videos on YouTube. I can see them with lags because of your White MacBook.

Just Buy Custom Mac (Hackintosh). I have it. It's faster than your White MacBook. End of story.

Yeah, I have same graphics card as blinx XD
But I have a mac pro, so the ram and cores are slightly better.
Still, I'd port this and play it XD

Depends...your gfx card is not a dedicated card so it borrows video ram from your ram so they are slower than a dedicated card but are still able to play a wide variety of games. The only way to find out is wait for the people across the internet to try it and see if its a worthwhile purchase for you machine. I wouldn't see why it wouldn't play at lower settings.

Ok got it running with reloaded fixed exe in Wine1.3.7 although having graphic glitches and no sound (apart from videos)

Not sure if all the steps are necessary but here they are:

- Dishonored seems to need dotnet3.5sp1 so I made a fresh Wine1.3.29 wrapper since net3.5 install on engines past 1.3.30 doesn't seem to work  (first did winetricks dotnet3.5 -> *then dotnet3.5sp1 (when I tried just using winetricks net3.5sp1 it broke somewhere midway the first time))

- Got black screen - so used winetricks d3d9_36 & _42 (not sure if necessary cause it didnt fix black screen in that engine)

- Changed to Wine1.3.7 which fixed black screen

- Ran a new game, had no ingame-sound apart from video, couldnt change resolution (just got a white screen) and getting graphic glitches (see pic below)

- Tried disabling glsl but breaks

- Doesnt run on my internal graphics (Intel HD 3000 - only getting white screen)

Posted Image

Gonna try a little more tonight, maybe someone else can pick it up in the mean time?

p.s. also tried cider7604 but no luck - just closes

May I ask you what browser you use to have all your tabs in one window?

Ok got sound by using WineCXG9.2.0 (needed vcrun2008sp1)

also achieved to change resolution by pressing enter while screen goes white (in the moment it changes the resolution)

-

Performance isnt the best

Also still having graphic bugs that sometimes make the whole screen turn black so not really playable yet

p.s.: orm=backbuffer breaks

tried this in an existing wrapper (Borderlands 2, running Wineskin 2.5.8 WS9Wine1.5.14) and it's only somewhat playable -- weird model glitches (see weirdo's screenshot) and screen goes black in enclosed areas, making progress impossible. looking forward to a proper wrapper by someone who knows what they're doing!

biggest issue appears to be SHADER PROBLEMS: my logs show this repeating error:
err:d3d_shader:shader_glsl_select >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION (0x502) from glUseProgramObjectARB @ glsl_shader.c / 4664

disabling glsl in winetricks doesn't fix this, as the game won't boot with glsl disabled.

I cant understand your post , but if you are indicating that its impossible to get the game to work in wine , then you are wrong because Appdb rates the game as gold and many users have got the game to run with minor flaws like sound and graphics . Now that we have the game working we are working on a fix for those errors .

if you read above I tried 1.3.29 1.3.7 cgx9.2.0 (with vcrun2008 of course) - nothing above 1.4 works with my amd anyway
built a custom 1.3.7 engine with ati fix but didnt help

same on Intel HD 3000

Often these graphic glitches can be fixed using Cider/CiderX

I will try cider tomorrow, if anyone with a decent knowledge of CiderX knowledge would have a try that'd be great
