Hi.

Was wondering if this one is hard to cider? or crossover it?

Would love to play this series of Tomb Raider.

Thanks in advance :)

Game Description:
Tomb Raider: Underworld is the eighth pillar installment of the Tomb Raider series. The story continues from the events in Tomb Raider: Legend as a direct sequel, but also addresses unexplained plot elements by association with Tomb Raider: Anniversary; the 2007 remake of the original Tomb Raider (1996).[9] The three games are subsequently merged into the renowned stand-alone Tomb Raider Trilogy of the late 2000s, by the series' second continuation developer Crystal Dynamics. Underworld is the third game in the series to be developed by Crystal Dynamics and is also the first Tomb Raider game to be released on the PlayStation 3.

Or maybe Tomb Raider Legend? Because I have only Anniversary, and it works just great.

+ 1

I finally got to play Legend in Crossover games and it worked very well. I had to turn off one graphics option and FSAA was unavailable but it ran well full screen at native resolution and I completed it OK. I also enjoyed the Mac version of Anniversary but for the over difficult bits - didn't like the adrenaline dodge either.

Underworld sounds good and there seems to be no recent news of a Mac version. The PC version is cheap but I don't have or want Windows so I'm waiting for it to be installable and playable.

I was reading the entry on Winehq about Tomb Raider Underworld and in the comments there was a link about a wine bug (http://bugs.winehq.o...ug.cgi?id=15868). Reading through this someone actually got the game working on Linux using some patches to customise Wine. There is even a youtube video of it in action and it looks fine and playable - the weird orange graphics I had seen in screenshots appear to have gone. It seems that not only is it necessary to modify wine to fix the graphics but also something has to be done with OpenAL to fix the sound. I'm tempted to buy a copy of the game now as hopefully this means it will be playable on OS X soon. I'm not sure I can follow exactly how to build a custom wine wrapper myself with the fixes mentioned. Also he has an Nvidia card and I have an ATI so it may be different.

I got to try my Wineskin port on a MacBook with Nvidia graphics today and the graphics issues disappeared (Wine 1.3.17) :)

There are issues with the mouse being unresponsive however (started in one of the 1.3.x versions). I tried going to Wine 1.2 but with the Nvidia card I just got an orange screen.

Now I know it is an ATI graphics bug causing Lara not to be drawn correctly I need to look at options to work around the bugs.

Same here!  I played TR1 for the first time when I was 10 and a lot of the elements of it really creeped me out.  It was just so much darker than TRII or III and you neither had flares nor did your gunfire illuminate anything.  I'd often spend hours standing in one place in the Atlantis levels because I was terrified that a mutant was going to jump out at me.  And the constant heartbeat sound in the Great Pyramid was REALLY creepy!
