Hi. I was wondering if anyone is able to make this run on a mac?

The first one was out for mac, and the rest wasnt.

Would love to play this on my mac.

Thank you!

from what i can tell it doesn't run right under any version of Crossover or Wine right now....  someone can try Cider, but it might be something that wont be able to work for now.

So would the new wrappers make it possible to make this game work? Can anyone please confirm this?
Thank You in advance  :D

I've tried this with the CD and downloaded versions and got no where. This was, however, before Games 8.1.3 so I'll have another try now!
Hello. Sadly i'm not active here on the Porting Team anymore, and therefore i cannot give support or answer questions to any of my posted Ports.

WOW!!!! Am I ever surprised!!!! I just loaded SCDA into Doh's RC7 and I've gotten further than I ever have before with any other wrapper.....now I'm just hoping that someone here can make sense of these log files....one of them is super long so I hope I don't get in trouble fro putting it in here but this is big news....I installed the game without the high res textures just to see (I also left out the extra movie so the game is just over 9 gigs) I've tried three or four times before but the game would just crash when I chose single player, this time, with RC7 it actually loaded the intro logo screens, Ubisoft / Tom Clancy's / Unreal Engine 2. Sure enough, after that the main menu loaded. When I chose new game it started loading the game....and that's when it crashed....I tried loading it twice, the first time it was only a few seconds into the loading screen that it actually crashed, the second time I turned everything way down to low and off....I thought it was actually going to work but about 55 seconds into the loading screen, sure enough, it crashed. Anyone with experience up for a challenge?

ooops, I guess I can't remove my own posts....sorry everyone I didn't mean to double post....I guess I'm just stoked!

The logs have over a 1.5 million characters so I'm not able to post them here, let me know if anyone wants to see them, I'll forward them off.

dot net 1.1, dot net 2.0, and a failed attempt at dot net 2.0 sp2, along with the C++ vcrun2005 post game install produce this error:

Crash
Assertion Failed:Linear Textures
[File] [Line]

after clicking the OK button the C++ terminate in an unusual way error popped up. I'm not sure what this means but I'm half tempted to start over and install those before I install the game. I don't know if that would make much of a difference.

I think some may get annoyed at how many times this will get bumped until I can figure out how to do it on my own!

I managed to get it working on Mac OS X 10.6.6...here is how:

1. Use Wineskin Winery with engine WS7WineCXG10.0.0
2. Install the game from your DVD. If you encounter error with DirectX, ignore it. After installation is completed use Winetricks to install d3dx9, then xinput. Finally install d3dx9_31.
3. Go to your game directory, find the d3dx9_30.dll and copy it into windows/system32 folder, overwriting the original file
4. Find a no-cd file on gamecopyworld, I used the Splinter Cell: Double Agent v1.0 - v1.02 [MULTI5] No-DVD/Fixed EXE and copy it into the folders as instructed in the text file that comes with the no-cd.
5. Play!

I have ATI Radeon HD 4670 on my iMac and it works without any glitches...so far. Please let me know if these instructions worked for you.

Good luck!

No, I hadn't even seen them. Great find. Was this posted at the appDB or did you figure it out yourself?

I'll try it and report back when I get some time to do so. I'd highly suggest you post the wrapper....especially if it will be your first wrapper post, this would be a great first port.

Thanks for the response DankoB. I have figured it out myself after playing around with new Wineskin Winery. I will get a wrapper together and post here in the next few days.

Yeah, the wineskin engine works pretty nice for this game, though I get a pretty weird graphic glitch, Sam's goggles sometimes get displaced for some unknown reason. Perhaps it's an ATI glitch, but I don't think it'll be easy to fix. Also, there are some texture hiccups here and there, but the framerate's flawless and there are no other serious problems apart from that.
