HOLY poop! lol

I live in Montreal, the same town that Fez's creator, Phil Fish lives in.

So it was damning rainy buttocks day today, im on the bus, and who do you know walks on..... Phil fkn Fish!
He was  a very chilled out dude. I told him i loved the game, that he did a great job, etc. He told me that all he's been doing these days is boring business related stuff.

I asked him about Porting the game to Mac & PSN and he said it wil for sure happen, he just couldn't give me an exact date.

So, Ethan Lee, a Mac/Linux porting extraordinaire, has gone to great lengths to reduce the amount of pain that comes about from porting a MonoGame to other platforms (ie Mac/Linux). So far, he's been able to ripout old MonoGame libs, replace them with his new SDL2# backend, and have them "just work" (ie no recompiling).

Case in point, FEZ running on osx, "native" port (no emulation/compatability layers like WINE). Notice the OSX Retina support right out of the box for a game that was compiled on Windows.

It's also semi-official that Ethan will be the one porting FEZ over to Mac/Linux, as well as perhaps creating new windows builds (due to the fact that his new solution involves using SDL2 which supports Windows/Mac/Linux). This should also make porting games in general from the XBOX (XNA studio) over to Windows/Mac/Linux much easier in general, and allow for simultaneous releases.

PS Game runs flawlessly under WINE on linux, however, as people have stated here previously, it doesn't run so well on WINE on osx (X11 or Native backend).

EDIT: If you'd like to try to get that working for yourself, I personally don't have much of a clue as to where one should start. Probably somewhere along the lines of downloading the SDL2 binaries, the SDL2# bindings, and his kickstart files, as well as the other osx-specific monogame binaries.

If you need source code to port it, here it is.

What exactly am I supposed to do with this? A bit of a newb here, I know my way around wine, but unfamiliar with source files.

It is source code for Fez, you have to port it with MonoGame

How exactly? Also didn't @UnconventionalT say someone got it working already? Would that possibly be released?
