This cool game was released very recently and as far as I know it might be possible to port it to mac. The people over at wine hq seem to have got the game to at least the menu so far.....:

Game Description:
Aimed at a hardcore gamer-style audience, Shift reverts to the touring-car simulation style of its 2007 predecessor, NFS ProStreet. Although the gameplay of these two titles are similar, Shift recreates car handling much more realistically than ProStreet, and does not contain a story. Upon starting the career mode, the player must do a lap of the track to decide on car settings. Once completed, the player is welcomed to the 'NFS Live World Series', and must earn stars in races to earn money, and unlock new races.

I was wondering if anyone was able to get Need for Speed Shift working. I tried it back it crashes when I try to start career mode or load any races.

Well, actually. I tried this only a day or two  ago and it was working fine. till the point where the race should have begin. then i got stuck at the oaring screen but have heard the engine sounds etc. (wine ver.1.3.37 wrapper ver. 2.5.3)
I'd be really GLaD if anyone could port it finally (even NFS: HP was already ported, but it has different engine :/ )
farewell

Farthest I got was to the first race but everything was white and black blocks...menu textures were messed up but I fixed most of the problems there. Everything works except in game. If someone wants me to upload the wrapper (CiderX 5019) and see if they could fix it more I can.
