Cider by transgaming ,Another great porting tool.
The tool may be great, but isn't easy for new comers to use. This tutorial will teach you how to properly configure a cider wrapper :)
Before we start :
- you will need the game files ( so you will need to install the game using a installer : http://portingteam.c...e/27-installer/ )
- you will need a Cider Wrapper
- Any additional applications that came with wrapper

Step 1 .
take note of all the requirements and lay them out in a folder for ease of access ( Optional)
Some wrappers may come with additional setup applications like the skyrim wrapper ; leave that till last .

Step 2.
Right click wrapper and select show package contents .

step 3.

Step 4.

Step 6.

Step 7.
Open transgaming folder

Step 8.
Open c_drive folder
Open program files folder

Step 9.
copy & paste , Drag & drop , or move your game folder with the desired directory name indicated in the info.plist file
into program files

Step 10.
Close all windows & launch any addition applications that came with the wrapper & launch wrapper

Step 11.
Enjoy :D

No you don't use steam . If you game requires steam and has a cider port . You need to use a crack then .

you have to install the game first in wineskin or in windows and copy over the program files  for the game into the wrapper

hey thanks for the tutorial, but I am having a problem using "skryimcider7081updated" with my "osx 10.8/ndivia 9400m"...

I installed skryim on my win7 laptop(razor1911 w/ crack) copied the files over as I followed the step by step instructions...
but when I click to run the game it doesn't do ANYTHING... doesn't crash or even try to pop up in the dock.. any suggestions?

also tried using wineskin wrapper after it finally loads i get "unable to find INI file please reinstall Skyrim"

the game ran on my windows laptop...

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey guys! I tried on Silent Hill Homecoming placed it inside c_drive but not program files as per request in the info.plist - it says "C:/Silent Hill Homecoming/bin/Silenthill.exe" so i placed it in the Show Package Contents and look like "c_drive/Silent Hill Homecoming/bin/Silenthill.exe"- the thing doesn't work. I go back out to my normal folder and click the wrapper, an icon comes and bounces then makes another identical icon and disappears both. :/ Please help :)

I thought that using cider meant I don't have to use wineskin (which is giving me all kinds of fits right now).

I've got the game downloaded, files unzipped, then...I'm not sure what... since I can't make a wrapper in winery (I get an error) and I can't get skyrim cider to launch.
