Steam is a digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer, and communications platform developed by Valve Corporation. It is used to distribute games and related media online, from smallindependent developers to larger software houses. In October 2012, Valve expanded the service to include non-gaming software. Steam provides the user with installation and automatic management of software across multiple computers, as well as community features such as friends lists and groups, cloud saving, and in-game voice and chat functionality. The software provides a freely availableapplication programming interface (API), Steamworks, that developers can take advantage of to integrate many of Steam's functions within their software products, including copy protection, networking and matchmaking, in-game achievements and micro-transactions, and support for user-created content through Steam Workshop.

You will need : SteamInstall.msi, Wineskin
Step 1) Install Wineskin Winery
Step 2) Download and Install the latest engine
Step 3) Create Blank Wrapper and name it Steam
Step 4) When Prompted for the Mono Install, click cancel, we will not need this.
Step 5) When the wrapper is created view it in finder, and show its contents
Step 6) Open up wineskin and from there go: Install Software>Choose Setup Executable
Step 7) Select the downloaded SteamInstall.msi file, wait for wineskin to do its thing
Step 8) Go through the installer, and once it is installed, it will eventually crash (if not, wait for the Steam wrapper to quit)
Step 9) A dropdown menu should appear, and select the one with : /ProgramFiles/Steam/Steam.exe
Step 10) Navigate back to the main app, and when you open it, you will be prompted with the 'updating' dialogue and a blank login screen
Step 11) You can now quit out of the app, and if you still have the wineskin app running from your app directory, switch to that (If not, open it up again)
Step 12) Go to Advanced and type in the Exeflag : -no-dwrite and click test run
Step 13) Login to steam and you're done!
Don't Directly Download Games and Play Them!
To Play the Games You must follow these instructions below!
Step 1) Download the game on PC Steam
Step 2) Find the contents by showing contents on the wrapper, and then drag them to the specific game wrapper
Step 3) Change WindowsEXE to the right exe for the game to start!
EDIT: Dan's Advice
This method does not always work for every game, some games require steam to be open for the game itself to launch. If that's the case then navigate to /Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/Common/**game folder** and paste in a NoCD crack for the specific game and it should work fine! (unless the game isn't supported by wineskin or requires additional steps/re-distributables)
