#96390 Wineskin/Winetricks being VERY temperamental

Yup. Old ones work right, though I really hate to say that. Lots of problems with the new engine(s).

#96036 Share your Simcity 2013 city

Posted cluthz on 17 April 2013 - 08:43 AM

Pics don't work here either.

Anyways I do not supporting companies that screws people over with DRM like that.
Also EA does shut down online services like crazy. Once SIm City doesn't earn them money, they will shut it down..

Good luck playing that game in a few years...

There is going to be a native version, so no.

#93933 Origin on Mac, and yes it's bad..

Posted Kama.Stein on 09 February 2013 - 07:03 PM

Yeah, at the moment it seems to me that most of the value there is in future potential of bringing more games that may not have come to the Mac otherwise (officially that is). They do have some stuff in the works like frostbite engine for Mac and their new Sim City which is said to be native and have cross platform multiplayer.

If they would bring the Mass Effect games and some of the rest of their catalog of games that they published that would be good.

#92722 Mac OS X 10.4

Posted eridani on 04 January 2013 - 03:48 PM

I love Tiger the most, but some times you need some app that doesnt run on 10.4 so i use SL. But thats personal taste.

What worries me is that your computer seems to crash very often (i had just 3 kernel panics over the past 6 years), maybe you have to pay a visit to the tech support.

Regarding your question, yah CXE work on Tiger, also if needed, there should be a metod for compiling newer CX (i.e. CX12) sources for using it as engine along with those wrappers.

Also, this isn't a wrapper, but Winebottler is Tiger compatible, even though the las build by the developer doesn't comes with audio support you may compile your own Wine an use it instead (with some minnor tweaks).

Best wishes and have a prosperous new year everyone!

Really cause I have mountain lion and creating wrappers is the same as it was on Snowleopard .
Remember, 10.8.2 and 10.7.5 broken X11? That's why they are stupid. (as waves said.)

I think what he meant by paid mmo is that it better not be a monthly subscription fee for it .
I know.. thats exactly what I was talking about too.  99% of free to play MMOs suck.. or the Free2Play portion sucks and you need to pay to really not have a sucky game... yet the freebaggers get in and screw it up for everyone.

$15ish a month with free short term trials is what I prefer.

Posted Reboot on 21 March 2012 - 12:53 AM

Yay! Ys: The Oath in Felghana is available on Steam. It's official! (It's for Windows only. I can port it again.) I checked Steam Store today. Now, it has achievements and leaderboards now. Awesome! I miss this game and my wrapper!

.... but I will buy it later... not now. :/

Edit: Btw, This game has English only. No Japanese version?

#74711 Router Problems

Posted GeekyMacBoy1 on 06 March 2012 - 01:33 PM

Hello everyone! I've decided to come back on the forums, however I won't be porting anymore games. I probably will keep making graphics though. So, recently I just installed a new router, and everything seems to work fine (Internet surfing etc.), but surprisingly, it wouldn't let me connect to any multiplayer servers for any games (BF3, Call Of Duty) on my PC! I've already tried port forwarding for each game, but still didn't work. What should I do? Thanks!
